Vermiculite is a neutral and clean minerals , comes from the black mica through air-slake or hydrothermal alteration,which exfoliated(expanded) ,when rapidly heated above 1000.
The exfoliated vermiculite like a leech and become several times bigger that its original crude vermiculite.
Vermiculite color can vary slightly according to it’s origin .Our vermiculite color is golden and silver.

1). Physical appearance
Vermiculite refers to a small group of minerals resembling the lamella structure of the micas.It is dark gray brown to golden brown in color and flake-shaped when dry.When heated to intense temperatures vermiculite expands in volume and its lamellae separate,and thus exfoliate

3). Air circulation
Vermiculite flakes are irregular in shape allowing better air circulation when exfoliated, .Widely used in horticulture to aerate soil mixes or for hydroponic cultures.
4). Low density
Exfoliation cause a great increase in volume without an increase in mass.Being extremely lightweight,vermiculite is an ideal material to lighten aggregates such as concrete,plaster,and asphalt,and to fill walls and partitions Inert and neutral PH:8-11
